Reporting in Helm: Fast, Flexible Order Insights

Helm’s Reporting gives teams a simple path to actionable insights on orders. From scheduling recurring exports to pulling ad‑hoc item-level breakdowns, you can create and download reports in minutes - no complex setup required.

Where to Find It

Use the Reporting menu on the left.

Today you’ll see two sections:

• Schedule Report: set up recurring exports.

• Report History: view and re-download reports you’ve generated in the last 30 days.

Current Scope

Reporting currently covers Orders, with more data sources coming soon.

You can build reports on:

• Orders: high-level order data.

• Order Items: line-level detail for SKUs, quantities, prices, and more.

Create a New Report

1. Start fresh

   • Click Create New Report.

   • Choose your type: Orders or Order Items.

   • Select “New report” to begin with no pre-selected columns. (Choosing a template like “Order Items report” auto-selects common columns.)

2. Set your timeframe

   • Pick Order Placed Date between any dates (e.g., last three months).

   • Optional: Compare between periods to track change over time.

3. Group if needed

   • Group results by order status or date to roll up totals.

   • Skip grouping to keep low-level detail.

4. Filter precisely

   • Add filters like SKU to include only orders that contain a specific product.

   • Use multiple filters to narrow results to a segment (e.g., status, channel, or region).

5. Choose your columns

   • Select the fields you need (e.g., Order Number, Status, Quantity, Price).

   • Rename columns for clarity (e.g., “Order Number” → “Order ID”).

6. Generate and name it

   • Click Generate Report.

   • Give it a clear name (e.g., “The Q4 Item Report”).

   • Pick your format:

     • CSV: universal, lightweight, great for BI tools and spreadsheets.

     • XLSX: non‑macro Excel file for teams who prefer native Excel.

Schedule and Automation

• Optional scheduling lets you deliver reports daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly.

• Use daily reports to review yesterday’s orders automatically.

• Bi-weekly or custom runtimes can align with your operations cadence.

Report History

• Generated reports remain available for 30 days.

• From history, you can Download, Regenerate (with the same settings), or Chat with your data to explore follow-up questions.
