Warehouse Performance Dashboard
What the Dashboard Does
Helm records every order it despatches and every line picked, moved, counted and delivered, and, through the Team Manager app, who was working on what. The Warehouse Performance Dashboard brings that together on one page: a live panel of the people on the floor at the top, and below it the figures, charts and tables for whatever period you choose.
The two halves answer different questions. The Live Operations Panel shows what is happening on the floor now. Everything below it reports on the period set with the date filter, so supervisors can watch the shift and managers can look back over the month from the same page.
Example scenario: On-Time Despatch is down against last month. Despatch Performance shows the orange Late bars bunched on a handful of days, and Workload Over Time shows Active Workers dipping on those same days. That points to staffing rather than process, and Time Allocation then shows whether the people who were in spent their time picking or sitting idle.
Before You Start
Live data comes from Team Manager. The Live Operations Panel, Time Allocation and Idle time are all built from workers signed in to the Team Manager app. If your team does not sign in, those sections have nothing to show.
Sections fill from completed work. Charts and tables only show data once orders, picks, movements, deliveries or counts have been completed in the selected date range. Until then each one reads Nothing to show here.
The Sections at a Glance
The dashboard runs top to bottom in the order below. Most sections carry a report link on the right that opens the full report in Reports.
Job types are the categories Helm sorts work into across the dashboard: Picking, Packing, Movements, Deliveries, Manual Tasks, Other System and Idle. Worked time is also split three ways:
Measured is operational work Helm records by itself.
Unmeasured is manual tasks and idle time logged in the Team Manager app.
Idle is time signed in to Team Manager with no active task assigned.
Date Range & Compare
Everything below the live panel follows the date filter beside Compare, which defaults to the last 30 days. Setting a comparison gives every figure something to be measured against.
Select the date filter.
Pick a preset such as Today, Last 7 Days, This Month or Last 12 Months, or choose Custom and set the From and To dates and times.
Choose Apply.
To compare, select Compare and choose Previous Period, Last Month or Last Year. The date range each option covers is shown next to it.
With a comparison on, the Figures tiles and the Inventory Performance table show a percentage change, green for up and red for down. The charts draw the comparison period as a lighter series: Despatch Performance labels it (Comp.), and Workload Over Time draws it as dashed bars and a dashed line, with the overall change shown beside its key. For short ranges the charts show one bar per day; longer ranges switch to one bar per week.
The Live Operations Panel
The panel is the floor at a glance: one card per active worker, with the green badge at the top counting the Active Employees. Each card shows:
The job type, as a coloured dot, for example Picking or Packing.
The worker's name and location, written Zone - Location, for example Zone A - A-03-02.
What they are doing right now, such as Picking Item, Sorting or Receiving Delivery.
The estimated completion time as a clock time, for example 03:15 PM. It reads Calculating while Helm works one out. Hover the i icon for Est. Completion Time.
See All opens the Active Workers list with each person's Name, Job Type, Activity, Job Reference, Location and Est. Completion Time. To narrow the panel, choose Options and tick or clear job types under Include; all six are ticked by default, and Options shows how many are ticked once you clear any.
When a worker passes the inactivity threshold, their card turns to Need Help! with Inactive for X min. underneath. Check on them first: they may be stuck at a location or waiting for stock.

Reading the Period Sections
Every section below the live panel reports on the selected date range. Hover over any bar or point for the exact values.
Figures are the six headline totals for the period. With Compare on, each tile also shows its change against the comparison period, which makes this the quickest place to see whether the month is better or worse than the last.

Despatch Performance plots orders despatched On Target (green) and Late (orange) for each day, so a bad week shows up as a run of orange rather than a single average.
Workload Over Time sets the lines completed (bars) against the number of Active Workers (line, right-hand axis). The tabs switch between Picking, Packing, Movements, Deliveries, Manual Tasks and Other System. Hover a bar for the day's count (for example Picks), Lines and Units.

Time Allocation gives each worker a bar split by job type. Hover over it, or its i icon, for the Time Share, Time Spent and Tasks Done in each. Team Time Distribution shows the same split for the whole team as a percentage; hover a job type for the team time spent, its share of team time and tasks done.
Performance Tracking lists each worker's output and rates for the job type tab you pick.
Inventory Performance lists products by the metric chosen in Sort by: Largest Travel Time, Highest Skip Rate, Longest Search Time or Highest Pick Volume. With Largest Travel Time or Longest Search Time, the products at the top are the ones costing your pickers the most time.

The page shows a short preview of each table. Choose Show All under Time Allocation or Performance Tracking to see every worker.
How to Run a Performance Check
Select the Dashboard icon (the line chart) at the top of the left-hand menu. From the dropdown, select Warehouse Performance Dashboard.
Check the Live Operations Panel for who is active and any Need Help! alerts.
Set the date range and, if you want something to measure against, a Compare period.
Read the six Figures and the Despatch Performance chart.
Work through the job type tabs on Workload Over Time and Performance Tracking.
Review Time Allocation and Team Time Distribution to see where the time went.
Sort Inventory Performance to find the products that are hardest to pick.
Open a section's report link, for the full detail in Reports.
Metric Definitions
Durations are written in 24-hour days, so 7d 1h means 169 hours of work in the period, not seven working days.
Best Practices & Notes
Compare Like with Like
Use Last Year for seasonal peaks and Previous Period for week-on-week trends. Weekends pull daily totals down, so compare full weeks rather than a few days against a few others.
Read Late Orders Against Workload
A rise in orange Late bars on the days Active Workers drops usually points to staffing, not process. Look at the two charts together before changing how the floor works.
Keep Idle Low
A high Idle share means people are signed in without a task to do. That is a task assignment question, and the place to fix it is Team Manager.
Start at the Top of Inventory Performance
Products with long travel time and high pick volume are the best candidates to move closer to packing. A high skip rate or search time more often means wrong location data or low stock at the bin.
Compare People on Rates, Not Totals
Lines Completed depends on how many hours someone worked. Line and unit rates per hour give a fairer view of who is quick and who needs support.
FAQ
Why Does Every Section Say "Nothing to Show Here"?
Why Does Every Section Say "Nothing to Show Here"?
No activity was recorded in the selected period. Widen the date range, or check that orders and tasks are being completed in Helm.
Why Is One Section Empty When the Others Have Data?
Why Is One Section Empty When the Others Have Data?
Your role probably does not include the permission for that section. Ask your administrator to check your role.
Why Does the Live Operations Panel Show 0 Active Employees?
Why Does the Live Operations Panel Show 0 Active Employees?
Either nobody is signed in to the Team Manager app right now, or the job types they are working on have been cleared under Options.
Why Does a Card Show "Calculating" or No Completion Time?
Why Does a Card Show "Calculating" or No Completion Time?
Helm does not yet have enough data to estimate when that task will finish. A card showing Need Help! shows the inactive time instead.
Why Does a Worker's Location Say "Locating..."?
Why Does a Worker's Location Say "Locating..."?
Helm does not have a zone or location for the worker yet.
Why Are There No Percentage Changes?
Why Are There No Percentage Changes?
Compare is still set to Select. Choose a comparison period and the changes appear.
If a figure looks wrong for a period you know was busy, check the date range and Compare setting first. If it still does not add up, contact support with the section and the dates you were looking at.
