Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Obtain WinWMS API Details
    Request or locate the following:

    • API Key

    • API Endpoint URL

    • Warehouse ID or client-specific identifier

  2. Log into Helm
    Go to Settings → My Store

  3. Add New Sales Channel
    Click Add New Sales Channel and select WinWMS from the integration list

  4. Enter Required Details

Sales Channel Logo

Upload WinWMS logo or a branded icon for your warehouse

API Endpoint URL

The base URL for WinWMS API requests

API Key

Authentication token provided by WinWMS

Identifier used by WinWMS to route orders and stock updates

Set preferences for inventory sync, stock capping, order importing and fulfilment logic

Import tracking references from WinWMS after despatch

Reserve stock automatically when orders are received in Helm

Despatch Confirmation

Automatically mark orders as despatched when WinWMS confirms

Final Steps

  • Click Save once all settings are configured

  • Set the channel to Is Active at the top of the screen

Once connected, your Helm and WinWMS systems will work together - and you’re ready to Take the Helm

Common Issues

ISSUE

SOLUTION

Invalid API Key or Endpoint

Confirm details with your WMS provider and verify API access is active

Orders Not Exporting

Ensure the channel is marked active and export conditions are met

Stock Not Syncing

Verify inventory sync is enabled and SKU mappings are aligned

Missing Tracking Info

Check that tracking sync is switched on and enabled within WinWMS
