What is Despatch Cloud
Despatch Cloud is a cloud-based eCommerce and fulfilment platform. In Helm, it functions as a dedicated testing channel for clients to configure their accounts, exercise APIs, and confirm operational behaviour before enabling production traffic
Integrating Despatch Cloud with Helm centralises inventory and orders, reduces manual exertions, and furnishes a safe proving ground for end‑to‑end verification

Step-by-Step Setup
To integrate Despatch Cloud with Helm
Obtain API Credentials
Log in to your Despatch Cloud admin panel
Navigate to Settings → API and generate or find your API Key and API Endpoint URLLog in to Helm
Go to Settings → My StoreAdd New Sales Channel
Click Add New Sales Channel and select Despatch Cloud from the listEnter Required Details

Sales Channel Logo | Upload the Despatch Cloud logo or your own branded icon |
API URL | Paste the full API endpoint URL |
API Key | Enter your API Key |
Click Continue

Configure how Helm communicates with Despatch Cloud

Max Stock Levels | Limit maximum stock quantity sent to Despatch Cloud |
Stock Buffer | Reserve stock to prevent overselling |
Auto Merge Orders | Combine multiple orders from the same customer or address |
Order Importing Type | Select the start date/time for importing orders |

Final Steps
Click Save once all settings are configured
Set the channel to Is Active at the top of the screen
Your Despatch Cloud integration is now live - and you’re ready to Take the Helm

Common Issues
ISSUE | SOLUTION |
Invalid API URL | Check the URL includes https and is entered correctly |
Invalid API Key | Ensure the API key matches what was generated in Despatch Cloud |
Orders Not Importing | Confirm the channel is active and order statuses are configured |
Stock Not Syncing | Verify SKU matching and enable stock synchronisation |
